Party games for thirtieth birthdays.
You can play party games with any of the themes listed below, and some fun ones would be things like:
- A trivia contest with these questions about the number 30
if you want to “talk thirty” with your guests. - 30th birthday bingo from Greengateimages.com

- Have guests make predictions about things that will happen in the next decade, with guests who have the best predictions winning a prize.
- Have guests write down something they regret doing in their 20s on a slip of paper, put them in a bowl, then draw them out and have people guess who wrote each one.
- “Name that 90’s tune” with music from the 1990s or 2000s.
- Have a 90s fashion show where guests have a bunch of things to choose from to create the most outrageous neon outfit, winner gets a prize.
- Find baby photos of celebrities who are 30 now and see if people can guess who they are.
- Have a contest where people answer 30 trivia questions about the guest of honor to see who gets the most right.

Themes and gifts for a woman’s thirtieth birthday.
Here are some invitation theme ideas for a 30th birthday party, with a gift suggestion for each that would be appropriate for the theme!
No specific theme!
You don’t have to have a specific theme to throw a party, it’s enough to get friends together for a general “Happy 30th!” This can take the pressure off of guests if they don’t feel like they have to match a gift to a theme, too.
If there’s no theme, any present will work. Jewelry is always a good bet, and something like this wire-wrapped pendant
is a unique one-of-a-kind gift that will be a keepsake of this milestone birthday.

Thirty and Flirty.
This theme would be appropriate for a single 30-yr-old, and the party could include a girl’s night out at a brewery or a bar crawl.

Get the guest of honor a customized shirt to wear (if she would be into that) to announce the party theme and attract conversation. If she would rather die than wear something that announces her age, just have a glam and glitz dress code for the entire group.
Hello Thirty!
For someone who’s welcoming the idea of being in her thirties (there are people like that!) you can do a “Hello Thirty” party.
Since this theme isn’t focused on any specific word like “dirty” or “flirty” you won’t have to worry about fitting anything to that, and you can have whatever kind of party you want to!
A nice gift for this theme would be a handmade album that can be used as a journal
to document things that happen in her thirtieth year.
Dirty Thirty.
This is a popular theme because the words rhyme, and it brings all kinds of behavior to mind. It’s not going to be a theme for everyone, so make sure that the guest of honor is someone who would think it’s funny before planning this one!
You could do any number of activities with this, from a lingerie party for that kind of dirty, to a gardening party for a different kind. That would actually be pretty funny and would throw some guests for a loop if they expect the other kind of dirty.
Go with the “dirty” version that’s gardening-related and order these custom garden markers with words that you choose
.

Surprise party.
Before throwing a surprise party for anyone, make sure that they’re someone who would appreciate it. I know a lot of people who would hate nothing more than being surprised and forced to socialize if they’re not ready for it, so this is a better choice for pure extroverts.
One nice thing for a surprise party would be to plan a nice dinner out, then have friends join at the restaurant for the surprise. That gives everyone an activity (eating) and if the guest is expecting to have dinner anyway then their expectations will be met!
These golf ball earrings would be a cute gift
if the guest of honor is a golfer. They’ll be sure to get noticed (eventually) but people might not see that they’re golf balls right away.

Talk Thirty To Me.
This is another general theme that will let you just have a regular party, to be honest. The invitations and party decor can be themed, but you can do pretty much anything you want for party activities!
Thirty and Fabulous.
This is a theme that could require a dress code, or you could have the party at a place that’s a little fancier. Reserve a room at a local upscale restaurant and have a black tie dress code, or throw a champagne tasting party at home and treat guests to a catered tasting menu.
Cheers to 30 Years.
This theme calls out for champagne toasts, or a wine tasting party. Or if you want to be more low-key you can set up a party at a local craft brewery that has an outdoor patio area for guests to mingle in a relaxed environment.
DownWrightBoozy sells drink and cocktail mixes
that are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They’d be good “cheers” gifts for this party theme.

Back To The 90’s
This is a fun theme that’s going to involve a little more interior decor of the neon variety. If the guest of honor was born in the 1990’s, you can use bright colors and themes from pop culture and music to decorate the party space to bring that era back.
Kiss Your 20s Goodbye.
You can choose from a few different “goodbye 20s” type themes, like “death to my 20s,” “goodbye 20s,” and “kiss your 20s goodbye.”
