Finding Christmas gifts for grandparents can actually be kind of fun, because you can personalize a lot of Grandma gifts and Grandpa gifts with the grandkids’ photos. Depending on how old the grandparents are, they might be retired and in full “living my best life” mode with hobbies and travel, so your gifts could reflect those interests. If they’re younger they might still be working, so you can get them things to use at the office. These ideas range all over the place, but you’ll be able to find some good ideas for gifts for grandparents no matter of what stage of life they’re in!

Shelf sitter sign.
This little wooden sign from Daisy Thirteen would be a cute gift for a grandparent for an office or to put on a bookshelf.
It’s small enough to be unobtrusive but the sentiment is big ๐

A subscription to a meal delivery service.
This was one of the things that I considered when my Grandmother was getting older and living by herself. She hated cooking, and she had meals on wheels deliver a few meals a week, but it would have been good to take the expense of shopping and preparing her other meals off her plate, so to speak.
Grandparents baby suit.
This little bodysuit from Designs By Tangsley would be perfect for letting the grandparents know that there’s a baby on the way.
Pregnancy announcements can be creative and fun, and wrapping this up to give to your parents would be a nice way to let them know that you’re expecting.

Add in a tablet that’s easy to use to listen along, and your grandparents will get a lot of enjoyment from it.

If your grandparents like flowers (who doesn’t?) a subscription to an arrangement-of-the-month service would be a nice way to give them a little gift every month.
Or if you’d like to make an arrangement yourself to add a personal touch, you can do that, too. It’s fun to learn flower arranging, and it’s a nice hobby that you can share with people. I have an article about that here: Making Flower Arrangements

A home cleaning service.
My father-in-law used to do all the vacuuming, but then he hurt his back so he couldn’t do that anymore. I would go in and do that plus some other light cleaning for them, and they really appreciated it.
If your grandparents are open to it, you could offer to give them a visit from a cleaning service to help them out with whatever they need to have done. However, I would say that if they’re NOT open to it, don’t push it and move on to another idea. Some older people don’t like the idea of strangers coming into their homes, and you can’t really blame them for that. But for people who don’t mind, it would be a nice gift!
Custom phone cases.

These custom phone cases come with spaces for up to 4 photos and in different colors. You can customize the name on them and get them in the style of case that will fit your phone.

A usable and safe can opener.
This might be a gift for anyone, not just grandparents, but this can opener is absolutely worth getting. (affiliate link)
I hate the sharp edges of cans because they’re just dangerous, and I had stitches to prove that at one point, This can opener opens cans without you having to squeeze a handle, and it cute the tops off at the seal so you don’t end up with a sharp edge. Perfect for people with weak hand strength (me) who don’t like sharp can edges (also me.)
A digital photo frame.
A digital photo frame that you can load up with family photos that change automatically is a good gift for someone who doesn’t want to deal with tech. If the frame does the work then your grandparents can enjoy the photos without having to mess with it themselves.
You can also get frames on Amazon that you can control with an app, so you can add photos yourself to keep them updated. That’s a fun way to be able to share your newest photos right away to keep your parents in the loop.

, and add photos of the people who made them. It’s a thoughtful gift that combines a useful recipe book and a photo album.

Pet care services or supplies.

If your grandparents have a pet, they probably have to spend money on that pet, which can often mean that they have less to spend on themselves. Especially if your parents’ pets have medical issues…You should see how much I have to spend on my cats’ prescription food!
Buying your grandparents practical gifts for their pets can relieve some financial stress and let them have more money for other things. And it’s a good way to help them out financially without actually giving them money.

Local event tickets.
Get your grandparents tickets to a single event, or an annual subscription to a local theater venue. They’ll enjoy being able to get out of the house and see some performances.
Hobby kits and craft supplies.

If your grandparents enjoy crafting or doing creative hobbies, buying them an assortment of craft supplies or tools will be appreciated. Just make sure that you know what kind of thing they use and/or need.
For example, for people who like to sew, you can get them things like fabric, machine needles, thread, bobbin oil, etc. Anything that wears out and has to be replaced is a good idea. Keep your ears open when they talk about their hobby and you’ll be able to pick up some ideas.
