This time of year there are plenty of pine garlands, wreaths, and pinecone branches that you can use to decorate for a botanically-themed baby shower. Whether they’re artificial or real, pine is a nice touch to a winter party.
Metallics.

There are so many food-related events during the month of December, it’s easy to incorporate those traditions like a cookie exchange into your baby shower menu. Having some self-serve food stations where guests can get hot food that’s served from crock pots, plus a drink station and a cookie table, will be enough to keep your guests happy.

December baby shower games and activities.
For the month of December. parties where people exchange things is a common theme. The good thing about doing a party with one of these activities is that you can theme the invitations and decor to the activity, and the activity will take a good amount of time to do, so that can be the main party activity.
Wreath making.
You can set up a wreath-making station for the main activity, since it will take some time. This should be a more organized activity, or you can let people work on a wreath at their own pace, then they can take them home as the party favor.
Make or exchange ornaments.
You can wrap the baby shower in with an ornament exchange for all guests, or you can have guests decorate an ornament for the baby. This can be the main activity if you provide kits for everyone, and it will take about an hour and a half to make a beaded ornament, or a lot less time to do one that has drawing or painting on it. White elephant gift exchange.
You can make the shower into a white elephant gift exchange so that guests can go home with a gift. This is always fun around the holidays, but make sure to put a price limit on the gifts so that people don’t show up with something that’s really expensive!
