How you can use the printable dollhouse wall art files.

These are copies of classic paintings that are all in the public domain, so it’s fine to sell them if you want to make little framed artwork for dollhouse miniatures.

There’s a larger and a smaller version of each, and they’re backed with a neutral ivory color so that you can cut them out to look like they’re matted if they’re a little too small for the miniature frames that you have.

They’re scaled to work in both 1:6 and 1:12 dollhouses, and they could go into smaller ones depending on whether they fit your decor or not.

Print them on white cardstock using photo settings to get the best print, then add them to mini frames to create wall art that you can hang in your dollhouse.

Print settings to use.

I printed mine on regular printer paper on the highest quality setting my printer had. If you want the brightest images, use photo paper and print on a high quality or photo setting.

High quality settings take longer to print, but they usually give you fewer of those lines that you get when you print a photo on a regular printer. If that doesn’t bother you, try a regular print setting to see how it looks, but a photo setting will give you the best result.

I still got some lines on the larger file when I printed mine, but my printer didn’t have a choice of matte photo paper, which is usually the one to choose to make it print without any kind of lines.

For a sturdier image, print on white cardstock.

Framing the artwork.

To put your pictures in frames, put the frame that you want to use over the images to see which one fits best.

If the image is square or rectangular and the frame isn’t, you’ll probably have to crop some of the image off or you’ll end up with the edges showing.

If the image is a little smaller than the frame that’s fine, because the colored background will look like a matted painting when you put it in the frame.

When you’ve chosen your image cut them out and trim to fit it onto the frame, with a little overlap so that you can attach it.

Glue or tape the picture into the frame using regular glue, rubber cement, or a piece of packing tape that covers the entire back of the frame. Trim the tape if you need to, and you’ll have a framed image ready to hang.

I used double-sided tape to hang my pictures up and it worked fine. If you want something more permanent you can glue the picture to the wall, but I wouldn’t recommend that since you’ll ruin the wall if you remove it later. (Click here to read an article about removable wallpaper.)

Tape seems to hold just fine, and it was pretty easy to remove.
