This sewing supplies storage bag is small enough to use as a carry-on for a plane trip, but it has tons of storage inside and in the outside pockets. It’s soft, so it will conform to the things that you put in it, and it would be really useful to keep things organized if you’re traveling with kids. I use mine for sewing supplies, but I would have loved to have one of these when I was traveling with little kids to put snacks and airplane supplies in.
Refillable travel-size bottles.
Get a set of travel-sized bottles that are TSA approves so that they won’t get stopped at security. This set on Amazon has a case to keep the bottles safe in a suitcase.
Lightweight travel backpack.
Get them a backpack or a lightweight drawstring bag that can be work on their back while going through the airport. It will give them easy access to important paperwork as they travel, and since you can wear them your hands will be free.
Compression socks.
If you fly a lot you run the risk of health issues that are related to your circulation. One of my friends ended up in the hospital after a few long flights, so thinking ahead to prevent problems is important. Drink lots of water and get a pair of compression socks to keep your circulation working when you fly!
Travel blanket.

You can put a small first aid kit together by going to the drugstore and buying some sample sized items to put in a makeup bag or even a plastic baggie. It would be helpful to have bandaids and some medical items if you’re walking a lot and getting blisters, or just to have in case.
Microfiber travel towel.
This microfiber golf towel can be used for travel, too. It has a ring that you can use to attach it to a suitcase so that it doesn’t get lost, and it will come in handy if you need something to wipe up a mess or clean a kid’s hands or face. Edit the monogram to customize it.

I’ve gone on vacations to theme parks before and the only thing that got us through it was the rain ponchos that we bought to try to keep dry. It’s good to get them ahead of time instead of buying them at a premium price when you’re desperate for one!
