The food for a summer themed baby shower is easy to plan…Have lots of fresh fruit, cold drinks, and ice cream!

Make cake pops (or buy them) in the colors that you’re using and serve them as a finger food treat.

Summer is a fun time to have an outdoor party, and barbecue goes hand in hand with outdoor summer celebrations. Serve hamburgers, hotdogs, and other BBQ favorites, and make the shower a coed event so that the father-to-be can be the grillmaster.
Juice bar and sodas or beer.
Have a drink station set up where you have pitchers of fruit juices, lemonade, sodas, and beer to help your guests beat the heat of an outdoor event. Have several coolers where people can serve themselves to set a casual tone, or set up a bar with a bartender for a more upscale event.

Treasure hunt.
Hide small seashells and plastic pearls for a treasure hunt adventure. Make the prize a small treasure chest full of chocolate coins.
Flip flop toss.
Have your guests try to throw a baby flip flop into a target area that you draw on the ground with rings like a dartboard. This is a lot harder than it looks because flip flops are light and aren’t very aerodynamic, so they’ll kind of fly in random directions. Do concentric rings and assign points for how close people get to the bullseye of the target.
Summer bingo.
