If you know someone who’s a quilter, you might want to get them a quilting-related gift, but that can be tricky. Some hobbies have very specific types of equipment, and you probably don’t want to buy something the person won’t be able to use.
I’m a quilter, and these are some gifts that would be good for anyone who makes quilts, because they’re all-purpose and can be used no matter what kind of sewing machine the person has, or what their skill level is.

A useful tote bag.
Lein Weber Studio makes cute tote bags with pockets that would be very handy for a quilter to use as a project bag. The designs change because they’re made by hand, so check in to see what’s available.

Quilter’s clips.
These clips are so much easier to use for a lot of sewing tasks than pins are. When I got some of these I used them for this project and was really pleased with them. This is a useful gift that any quilter would be able to find a use for. You can get them on Amazon here: Quilter’s Clips(affiliate link)
Good scissors.
A good pair of Fiskars scissors is always useful, no matter how many you already have. Any quilter would appreciate a gift of scissors even though you might think it’s a basic thing. Useful gifts are always the best ones! Get these on Amazon (affiliate link)
Unique fabric.

Carrie, owner of More Love Mama, suggests FABRIC, which is obvious to me since I’m a fabric hoarder. You can see the different patterns that she offers here in her shop on Etsy: More Love Mama

Sewing theme decor.

Anne, owner of French Vintage Prints, suggested a little room decor in the form of fashion and craft prints. Check out her selection here: French Vintage Prints

Rotary cutters.
Quilters use rotary cutters to cut strips of fabric for piecing. It makes it a lot faster to cut things out, so these are always useful. I tend to misplace mine, so having multiple rotary cutters is a good idea. You can get these on Amazon here. (affiliate link)
Vintage fabrics.

Cindy, owner of The Scrapologist, suggests some vintage fabrics, which can be used for quilting or as unique embellishments for clothing or home decor projects. See her shop here: The Scrapologist

Nancy, owner of Palmetto Engraving, suggests a personalized ornament. It can also be ordered without the personalization, take a look here: Palmetto Engraving

Free motion quilting paddles.
These Martelli quilting paddles made my free motion quilting SO MUCH BETTER. I don’t know why these work so well for me, but I think it’s because I don’t put the pressure on the fabric as much when I’m using them. If you know someone who does a lot of free motion quilting, or who has trouble with doing it, these would probably help! See them here on Amazon. (affiliate link)
