We all know someone who’s difficult to buy gifts for because they seem to have everything already. Or they tell you that they really don’t want anything, but you still want to get them a little something.
The way to please these people is to give them something useful. And if it’s something that will go away eventually so that they don’t have to store it, that’s a bonus. How do I know this? I’m one of those hard-to-buy-for people!

Customizable notebooks.
One of the best gifts for people who have everything is a nice notebook that they can use, then throw away when it’s used up. Or if it’s a cute pattern they can choose to keep it for a journal or a diary.
You can get a wide variety of customizable notebooks in unique designs on Zazzle. Personalize them yourself by editing the text on them, or by creating your own notebook using a photo to print on the cover.

Handmade Soap.
Handmade soap is a nice little luxury item that people might not buy for themselves, but will appreciate if you give some to them. There are a lot of varieties of handmade soap, so you’ll be able to find whatever fragrance you like if you buy from artisan soapmakers.
This set from Botany Barn is a nice assortment that anyone would appreciate, and it’s a gift that goes away so they won’t have to find a permanent place for it somewhere in their house.

An Amazon Music subscription.
Everyone loves some type of music, and with a streaming subscrtiption from Amazon they’ll be able to find their favorite tunes without having to look too hard. This is a gift that requires no personalization, no storage, and is something that everyone will like.
An Audible subscription.
While we’re on the subject of digital gifts, consider getting the person who has everything a subscription to Audible. It’s something that they can use to listen to their choice of books and podcasts, and it isn’t something that they have to store.
It’s also convenient for you because you won’t have to figure out what kind of books the person who’s receiving the gift likes, they’ll be able to choose their own.

A welcome mat.
A welcome mat is a good gift for someone who has everything because it’s useful, decorative, and they can put it outside without feeling guilty.
Customize your own design, or get a coir doormat from the Artisan Shopper store on Zazzle.
Something for their pets.
If the person you’re buying for has a dog, get them some type of gift that they can use for dog activities, like this little treat bag from Top Dogs Gear.
If the person you’re getting a gift for has a cat, catnip toys are always the answer. These kicker toys from Oddball Cat Toys will please anyone because if you’re nice to our cats, you’re okay with us.
Custom golf balls.
My husband suggested this item because it does fit into the “useful and you don’t need to store them” category, and all he ever thinks about is golf. (He says to add that he denies that.)
You can customize your own golf balls on Zazzle, or get some that are already designed, like this one. They have a variety of brands, incuding the Callaways that my husband bought to give to his friends.

Snack gift baskets.
A snack gift basket is something that people will enjoy and not have to store for the long-term. There are a bunch of varieties on Amazon that you can get that are specialized for specific dietary needs.
I used to buy a snack gift basket with diabetic-friendly food for a relative, and he enjoyed that. You can also get some for gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free, just use this link and add the specific thing you’re trying to avoid to the search bar: Snack gift baskets on Amazon (#ad)
Quiet toys for their kids.
A good game for kids (and grownups) that is quiet and also develops logical thinking is Rush Hour. My kids loved this game when they were younger, and it’s also good for adults. It’s one of the games that I haven’t gotten rid of (bye bye, Candyland…) because it’s a logic game that’s good for all ages. You can see it here on Amazon: Rush Hour Game (#ad)

Bird feeders and seed.
Something that people who have everything will like even if they already have one is a bird feeder and birdseed. I have a couple of Squirrelbuster brand feeders because they really do work, and they’re the only ones that have worked without getting ripped apart by our local neighborhood raccoons.
Birdseed is also highly important. I find that the shell-less variety lasts longer because the shells take up so much space. The birds love it, too. It’s sometimes a little more expensive than the kind that has shells on, but the cost evens out since it does take the birds two days to clear out a feeder instead of one day. I use shelled seed too, but it tends to go a little faster.
See Squirrelbuster feeders on Amazon (#ad), and the kind of birdseed that I use is there, too.
Garden art.
Stained glass garden stakes are a nice gift for anyone who has a garden. They can put them outside to decorate their yard, and it doesn’t matter if they already have some. These rainbow stakes from Bello Glass would be a great gift for any garden lover.
I hope that these ideas give you something to work with if you need to buy a gift for someone who seems to have everything. If you’re one of those people and you have some more ideas leave a comment and let me know what you’d suggest!
